Lady Chevrons Wins First Ever ODI

Captain Mary- Anne Musonda had a memorable century leading the Zimbabwe women's national cricket team to their first ODI victory beating Ireland by four wickets at Harare Sports Club on Tuesday.

HARARE – Captain Mary- Anne Musonda had a memorable century leading the Zimbabwe women’s national cricket team to their first ODI victory beating Ireland by four wickets at Harare Sports Club on Tuesday. 

Musonda scored an unbeaten 103 off 114 balls entering the records as the first ever Zimbabwean female cricketer to score a century in an official ODI. 

Precious Marange and Josephine Nkomo also wrote their own pieces of history in the process. 

Marange got Zimbabwe’s first two wickets in an ODI while Nkomo bowled the Lady Chevrons’ first ever ODI.
