South Africa’s Economic Freedom Fighters CiC Julius Malema on Monday called for Zimbabwe leader Emmerson Mnangagwa to leave office, saying he is a sellout after his unpopular stance to reverse the gains of the land reform programme by compensating displaced white commercial farmers.

Malema who is a supporter of the expropriation of land without compensation said Mnangagwa is a sellout for taking a stance to overturn the programme started by his mentor the late Robert Mugabe at the turn of the millennium.

The vibrant red overalls and beret movement leader who was speaking to the press at the Clicks Mall of the North where he successfully shutdown the giant outlet over a controversial racial advert, also launched a scathing attack at President Cyril Ramaphosa as a sellout just like Mnangagwa.

“Cyril [Ramaphosa] and Mnangagwa are two fools, so they can’t resolve anything. Mnangagwa must go, the people of Zimbabwe deserves a better leader. The people of Zimbabwe deserves a revolutionary who will continue with the land question of Zimbabwe.

“Mnangagwa is the highest sellout ever in the history of African politics. He must be known as a sellout and not as a revolutionary. Anyone who reverse(s) the land question in Zimbabwe and compensate the white farmers for a stolen land is a sellout and that’s what Mnangagwa is. Another sellout [Ramaphosa] is going there to join each other in the selling out,” charged Malema.

President Mnangagwa has come under fire from various civic groups and the main opposition party, the MDC Alliance over his latest desperate stance to compensate white farmers in the vain hope of restoring strained relations with the West.
