LONDON — Manchester United striker Mason Greenwood has been arrested for allegedly breaching bail conditions, British police said on Saturday.

The 21-year-old was first arrested in January for allegedly raping and assaulting a young woman after photos and videos were posted online.

He was also questioned on suspicion of uttering death threats.

Greenwood has since been released on bail.

A police spokesman said: “Greater Manchester Police are aware of an allegation relating to a 21-year-old man who breached his bail conditions and an arrest was made on Saturday October 15 2022.

“The investigation is currently ongoing.”

Hours after the allegations surfaced online earlier in the year, Greenwood, who once played for England, was banned from playing or coaching at United.

Nike suspended and later terminated its sponsorship deal with Greenwood, while Electronic Arts confirmed its removal from active match-lists for its FIFA 22 game.
