HARARE — Returning Harare City coach Taurai Mangwiro says he is back at the club to finish off the project and vision that he had started when he was released in 2016.
Mangwiro was replaced by Moses Chunga only eight matches into the 2016 season.
Mangwiro now feels that he is on a better pedestal to finish off what he wanted to achieve in 2016 when he was sacked just one year, five months into his three year contract.
“I was here in 2015 to mid 2016, initially I had a three year term. I was in my term for one and half years and painfully it was to part ways but just like it is life people do reconcile,” Mangwiro said.
“I’m here today to pursue what I started. We had a vision and we still share the same vision and that’s why I didn’t turn down the request to be back.”
Mangwiro brought with him his assistant at Triangle Tafadzwa Mashiri and a number of players who includes Donald Mudadi, Timothy January, Tyler Mugoniwa and Tinashe Mureya.
He also reunites with former Triangle defender Donald Dzvinyai who was with FC Platinum.
Tendayi Mukono joins from Manica Diamonds.
Tatenda Tumba returns to Harare City from CAPS United while Collins Mujuru who was now with ZPC Kariba is back at the club.
