MDC Alliance national chairperson Morgen Komichi has made a frank admission that MDC is now history after by-elections loss.
In a leaked audio, Komichi said people rejected the once mighty MDC and there is need to research on the reasons for the dismal performance.
He also admitted that people now view MDC as a party capture by Zanu PF which has made the electorate lose confidence in the party.
MDC Alliance which is led by Douglas Mwonzora failed to win a single seat in the recent by-elections necessitated by recalls of MPs belonging to Nelson Chamisa by the former.
Mwonzora rose to the helm of MDC through the support of Zanu PF and managed to force Chamisa to form a new party Citizens Coalition for Change.
The new party which is less than three months old romped to victory in the by-elections managing to win 22 of the 28 parliamentary seats.
