HARARE – England-based hot-shot Macauley Bonne could finally get an official debut for the Warriors after he was Wednesday named in a 32-man provisional squad that includes an array of European based players.
The team was announced in preparation for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Botswana and Zambia next month.
The home tie against Botswana will be played on November 15 at Barbourfields stadium at 6pm while the away match against Zambia is set for 6pm on November 19.
The provisional squad includes Spanish fourth division side Velez CF goalkeeper Martin Mapisa, Stockport County defender Douglas Nyaupembe and Swansea City defender Tivonge Rushesha (Swansea City).
Also named in the squad is Bolton Wanderers defender Adam Chicksen, Jordan Zemura (Bournemouth), Teenage Hadebe (Yeni Malatyaspor) and Alec Mudimu (CEFN Druids).
Aston Villa’s Marvelous Nakamba and Stade de Reims midfielder Marshall Munetsi lead the cast of overseas based midfielders.
The strikers of note called up are Admiral Muskwe (Leicester City), Knowledge Musona (RSC Anderlecht) Tino Kadewere (Le Havre AC) and Charlton Athletic’s Bonne.
