HARARE – Tonderai Ndiraya has paid the price of failing to win the league title after Dynamos announced on Tuesday that they will not be renewing his contract.
Ndiraya’s contract expires at the end of December and the club has decided against renewing it.
In a statement club spokesperson Tinashe Farawo said Ndiraya’s contract will not be renewed without spelling out the reasons.
“Dynamos Football Club announces that the head coach Tonderai Ndiraya’s contract with the club will not be renewed after it’s expiry on the 31st of December 2022,” read part of the statement.
“It is with regret that we have reached this difficult decision but Ndiraya will always be remembered for his contribution to Dynamos both as a player and coach.”
“However this development does not dwarf the work Ndiraya has done in the last few years to rebuild Dynamos and position it for long term success. Ndiraya remains a Dynamos son whose loyalty to the club has never been doubted. We wish Ndiraya all the best in his future endeavours.”
No candidate has emerged as the firm favourite to replace Ndiraya at DeMbare but reports have in the past linked Ndiraya with a move to newly promoted Simba Bhora.
