“I can confirm that upcoming Zimdancehall star Champs Mativi will be having an international collaboration with a top Jamaican female artist Peppahot in a track called I Wanna Take You To Africa ,” said Fortune Mwongora.
He also went on to tell this publication that the much awaited duet was supposed to have been released during the festive season for the two artists’ followers to have something to listen to but it is now expected this weekend.
“That song is definitely going to be a hit in the local showbiz scene which has been hungrier for quality and its coming out this weekend as all radio stations are requesting for it,” said Mwongora.
Before the collaboration Champs Mativi had hit songs like Maswera Sei, Dhumebi, Bhema Bhema Tese, Name Name Neni, Seunopenga which have been hitting the streets.
Champs Mativi has promised more international collaborations with his aim being taking Zimbabwe music international and not to end up locally based like any other ‘Ghetto Yuts’ are doing.
