Philanthropist Chipo Munjeri revels in ‘bestselling’ debut book success

Philanthropist Chipo Munjeri commonly referred to as Tracyhappy is making waves in China and across the globe after publishing her bestselling, debut book ‘Surviving the Agony of Shame’ recently.

SHENZHEN – Philanthropist Chipo Munjeri commonly referred to as Tracyhappy is making waves in China and across the globe after publishing her bestselling, debut book ‘Surviving the Agony of Shame’ recently.

Munjeri said she is thankful to God for the great strides made through this book with at least 1 200 copies having been sold in China alone and a couple of others on Amazon.

All the money raised from book sales will be used to fund the Sunrise Foundation charity home, offices and kinder for the less privileged currently under construction.

The construction needs at least US$20 000 to be completed.

Chipo Munjeri is the founder and director of Sunrise Foundation Africa, a charity organization that has made tremendous contribution to uplift the needy in Harare, Masvingo and Midlands among other areas.

According to the author popularly known as Tracy Happy, the book ‘Surviving the Agony of Shame’ is a life-changing literature piece written with the ultimate goal of assisting people going through different experiences that expose them to shame.

Based on the life story of Munjeri, the book enlightens the reader on various issues around shame, dwelling on its causes, symptoms, and the drastic, long-lasting, purpose-distracting effects it brings with it.

“After 30 years of being tormented by this creature called shame, I successfully penned down an array of issues, some that will definitely leave a tear in your eyes,” said Munjeri.

“All that I want is for this book to set the reader on a course to self-realization of their own shame, related issues and how to effectively deal with them.”

TracyHappy who is also a fully licensed business teacher by profession in China opened up on her charity work and the immense success acquired.

“At the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic, I pioneered the movement for “one act of kindness with love can change the entire world” which underpins all of my endeavors, past, present and future,” she said.

Munjeri is a multiple award winner having been accorded the History Maker Award in South Africa 2013, Best Teacher of the Year and Sunrise Best Director of the Year 2019.

She revealed plans to officially launch the book anytime with the proceeds from the event set to be channelled towards funding charity projects.
