Warriors striker Prince Dube was on target for Azam FC in the 2-1 win over Namungo FC in a Tanzanian Premier League match on Wednesday night.
Dube who narrowly missed out on the golden boot last year due to recurring injuries opened the scoring for Azam in the first half.
The win for Azam saw them climbing to third place on the log behind Simba Stars and Yanga.
Meanwhile, Warriors trialist Temptation Chiwunga was also on target scoring the second goal for South African GladAfrica Championship side JDR Stars in the 3-2 defeat to Cape Town Sours.
Chiwunga who was named in the Warriors provisional squad for the Africa Cup of Nations but missed the final cut after being replaced by Kundai Benyu, scored the second goal for JDR Stars from the penalty spot.
Warriors striker Ishmael Wadi also starred for JDR Stars.
In the DStv premiership, Kaitano Tembo’s SuperSport surrendered a two goal lead in the first half to lose 3-2 to Orlando Pirates.
Terrence Dzvukamanja started for Orlando Pirates while Warriors defender Onisimor Bhasera came on a second half substitute.
