The nine-year marriage of TV personality Oscar Pambuka – who is also a self-proclaimed prophet – is on the brink after his wife Nyasha Pambuka, née Makota, filed for divorce.
The couple have two children.
The divorce notice shows that the two were married on June 21, 2013 under Chapter 5:11 of the Marriage Act.
In her papers, Nyasha who is also a television personality, claims that their marriage had no prospect of reunion.
Nyasha, through her lawyer, seeks a divorce decree, a summons for her two minor children and custody of them.
“The defendant (Oscar is required) to pay a monthly contribution of US$100 per child and continue paying school fees for both minor children.
“An order for custody, in favour of the applicant (Nyasha), with Oscar having access during weekends from Friday 1600hrs to Sunday 1200hrs,” reads divorce declaration filed by Makota.
The two have been separated for over a year.
Nyasha claims she has lost love and affection for the journalist and preacher.
Pambuka, who also ventured into music at one time, has yet to respond to the subpoena.
Nyasha is filing for divorce for the second time after initially filing Pambuka in 2019.
She has now argued the current claim under HC 2425/22.
