Sables climb world rugby rankings after win over Netherlands

The Sables have leapfrogged the Netherlands on the World Rugby rankings following their dominant 30 - 7 win over the Dutch in an international Test match at the Rugby Stadium Amsterdam on Saturday.

The Sables have leapfrogged the Netherlands on the World Rugby rankings following their dominant 30 – 7 win over the Dutch in an international Test match at the Rugby Stadium Amsterdam on Saturday.

The win saw the Zimbabwe national rugby side move up seven places in the world rankings to 27th, three places behind Namibia, who they could meet in the semi-finals of the Rugby Africa Cup in France.

Zimbabwe’s attention is now on the 2022 Rugby Africa Cup in France where they will meet Ivory Coast in the quarterfinals on Friday.

The winner of the continental competition will qualify for next year’s Rugby World Cup.
