PRETORIA – Danny Jordaan was re-elected president of the South African Football Association (SAFA) on Saturday.
Jordaan retained his position in a landslide victory over presidential candidates Ria Ledwaba and Solly Mohlabeng.
He received 186 votes, while Ledwaba received 27 votes and Mohlabeng only eight votes.
The SAFA election convention was held at the Sandton Convention Center on Saturday.
Aged 70, he will now lead SAFA for a third term.
The preparation for the Congress was spectacular, with at least three attempted court cases to prevent SAFA members from holding the elections.
