Super clash with moneybags Scottland unbothers Yabo

HARARE – Black Rhinos coach Nesbert ‘Yabo’ Saruchera is not moved by Scottland’s shopping spree during the mid season transfer window ahead of their clash in the Northern Region Soccer League (NRSL) weekend’s headline fixture at The Heart stadium on Saturday.

Scottland’s brought in big name stars that includes former Warriors left back Ronald Pfumbidzai who was playing in the South African premier league earlier this year, Leroy Mavunga who was playing in the Botswana premier league.

They also signed former Chegutu Pirates striker Cleopas Dube, ex-Yadah midfielder King Nadolo, seasoned goalkeeper Bhekimpilo Ncube who was with Hwange.

Veteran midfielder Allen Gahadzikwa who captained Bikita Minerals in the premier league during the first half of the season also joined the Mabvuku side.

Despite the intimidating line up on paper Saruchera is unfazed by the names at Scottland as he believes his team has the pedigree to stop Scottland FC from completing a double against them.

Scottland won 2-0 in the reverse fixture and Saruchera is out to avoid back to back defeats.

“This time we are more than ready for them,” said Saruchera.

“This time around we are not going to allow them to beat us. We are Black Rhinos and we are going to respond to the defeat in the reverse fixture. We want the three points and we are going for them.”

Black Rhinos are expected to unleash former Karoi United striker Tapiwa Tasiyana who was acquired during the mid season transfer window along with Willard Zakeyo from Banket United and Davison Chigora from Shamva Mine.

Another big match is on the cards at Ngoni stadium as second placed MWOS host fifth placed Herentals.

MWOS are expected to parade their new signings former ZPC Kariba defender Ian Nekati and ex- Green Fuel midfielder Tinotenda Mutyambizi and former Harare City forward Godfrey Tatenda Manase.

Black Mambas who have brought in five new players Denzel Sigauke, Nixon Mashunda, Munashe Chikodze all from Scottland and the duo of Raphael Muduviwa and Edson Gavaza from MWOS will be hoping for a positive start away to Ngezi Platinum Stars U19.

Third placed Harare City who made some changes both on the technical bench and on the field of play are home against Trojan Stars at Motor Action Sports Club.

Harare City removed assistant coaches Kelvin Togarasei, Tendai Samanja and Tawanda Nyamandwe from the technical bench to allow new coach Ikabort Masocha to bring his own assistants.

The Sunshine Boys brought in Tawanda Musariri from Golden Eagles, Knowledge ‘Musona’ Nhlakama from Scottland and Tinotenda Munengiwa from AM FC.

Shamva Mine have a date against Agama at Shamva Mine stadium while PAM FC entertain Norton Community at Muriel Mine stadium.

Ralph Kawondera will face his former side Banket United after joining Chinhoyi Stars during the break.

Kawondera is also expected to give three players their debuts at Chinhoyi Stars, Kudzai Zhuwaki from Norton Community, Kudzai Trevor Chikede who was unattached as well as Tafadzwa Takawira who moved from ZRP Gwanda in the Central Region Soccer League.

Former CAPS United midfielder Devon Chafa is in line to make his debut for Golden Eagles on Sunday away to Karoi United at Chikangwe stadium.

Chafa moved to Golden Eagles along with Simba Maramwidze from Simba Bhora and the duo of Brighton Banda and Carlton Dube from Black Mambas.

Karoi United on the other hand have signed Peter Bhero and Christopher Rozari from Chegutu Pirates, Valentine Zhou from Legends Academy, Malcolm Tawanda from Come Again and Munashe Ocean Katondo from Chinhoyi Stars.

However, action begins on Friday with a double header at Motor Action Sports Club.

Two bottom teams DZ Royal Stars and Zambezi G & C begin the last lap towards survival with a mid day clash before Cranborne Bullets face off against CC Lee Mhangura.
