PRETORIA – DStv Premiership side SuperSport United has suspended winger Kuda Mahachi in the wake of his alleged scalding of four year old son Diego with hot water and a series of abuse.
Mahachi has grabbed headlines in the last few days following the amputation his son after the exposed abused which has been linked to rituals by the once prolific player to resuscitate his career.
“SuperSport United FC has become aware of the serious allegations levelled against our player, Kudakwashe Mahachi.
“The club has suspended the player from all club football activities with immediate effect.
“He has been advised to attend to his family [and] the allegations against him,” the club said.
Matsatsantsa declined to make further comments saying that the matter is subject to judicial processes.
Mahachi, one of the most decorated Zimbabwe national team winger is accused of pouring hot water on his son Diego causing third degree burns all over the body.
Respected journalist Makomborero Mutimukulu first broke the news a few weeks ago but faced a backlash from Mahachi and his current girlfriend who denied the story.
