PRETORIA – Cameroon goalkeeper Anye Derick Fru is set to arrive in South Africa this week to begin his trial with DStv Premier League side Maritzburg United.
According to close information, everything is arranged so that Derick can start his trials at the famed Team of Choice.
The 27-year-old is currently on a free transfer after his contract with Coton Sport FC expired.
Derick’s exploits earned Coton Sport their 17th league title, sending them back to the TotalEnergies CAF Champions League.
In a thrilling playoff final, he saved two penalties against Eding Sport and gave his club the league title.
He was included in the top eleven of the Cameroonian league.
In this transfer window, Maritzburg has already signed Congolese international Karim Kimvuidi, Given Mashikinya, Bonginkosi Makume and Bongani Sam.
