HARARE – A rejuvenated Yadah Stars defeated giants CAPS United in Chibuku Super Cup second round group one game played at National Sports Stadium this Wednesday.

Yadah came from a goal down to win the match 2-1 against their fancied opponents who are developing a habit of performing below their standards every game.

CAPS United started the game on the front and could have opened the account in the first minute but Bhalakazi unleashed a weak effort at Yadah goalie.

Another chance fell to United in the 3rd minute through a powerful Blessing Sarupinda shot which was blocked for a corner kick.

The breakthrough finally came two minutes later when lethal finisher Ishmael Wadi ran through the right wing, dribbled past two defenders before placing the ball beyond the reach of approaching Yadah goal-minder.

The goal awakened Yadah who started to move forward in search of the equaliser but CAPS United was solid.

Yadah finally found the equaliser in 21st minute through Tanaka Shandirwa after benefiting from a poor pass by Sarupinda.

CAPS United lost another left back Munyaradzi Kunyarimwe who had to be rushed to the hospital after a nasty injury. It is their third left back injury after Valentine Musarurwa.

The Miracle Boys got their second goal from a penalty on the half hour mark after CAPS United substitute Munyaradzi Diro Nyenye performed another schoolboy blunder inside the box.

Godknows Mangani made no mistake from the spot to send Green Machine goalkeeper Tonderayi Mateyaunga the wrong way for a priceless goal.

Second half saw the match switching from one end to the other but no goal was produced.

Yadah held on to secure victory which places them on second position in group one with 8 points.
