HARARE - President Mnangagwa has fired State Security minister Owen Ncube from his position in Government with immediate effect.

HARARE – President Mnangagwa has fired State Security minister Owen Ncube from his position in Government with immediate effect.

Chief Secretary to the President and Cabinet Dr Misheck Sibanda announced the sacking.

He said he was fired for “conduct inappropriate for a Minister of Government.”

Owen “Mudha” Ncube was extremely close to the president before and after his ascension to power.

He is notorious for controlling violent thugs involved in mining in Mnangagwa’s home province of Midlands.
