Zimbabwe ladies hockey team registered their first win at the Africa Cup of Nations in Ghana with a 5-0 win over debutants Uganda on Tuesday.
Zimbabwe ladies hockey team picked their first win at the African Cup of Nation beating debutants Uganda 5-0 in Accra, Ghana today.
16-year-old Tinodiwanashe Elijah, the youngest member of the team opened the scoring for Zimbabwe in the 28th minute as they bounced back from their 3 -0 defeat to champions South Africa yesterday.
Zimbabwe’s double scorer Natalie Terblanche made it 2-0 two minutes later.
Nicole Grant made it 3-0 after 47 minutes before Terblanche got her second of the match five minutes later.
Lilian Pope wrapped up the scoring in the 60th minute.
