HARARE – The government of Zimbabwe led by incumbent Emmerson Mnangagwa is planning to build a world class new city known as the new ‘Dubai’ anytime soon when all the necessary steps for the project to take off are completed.
According to information gathered by this publication, the new city is going to be built around Victoria Falls somewhere between Zimbabwe and Zambia, with a net worth of around $18 billion having been set aside for the completion of the project.
The government of Zimbabwe has already awarded a tender to an engineering American based company known as the Rosenthall Group LLC to take care of the construction of the new city.
Rosenthall Group on their part have already completed the designing of the city model they intend to construct and their imagination and creativity appear to have charmed the Zimbabwe president who then sanctioned the awarding of the tender to them after consultations with his technocrats in the government.
According to the company’s chief executive officer Robert Rosenthall, the company is more than willing to help in the development of Zimbabwe as they believe it has been sitting on its potential for many years and has been failing to stand up with the rest despite its vast underlying resources.
“Right now I cannot reveal much but would like to acknowledge that our representatives met with His Excellence (Mnangagwa) sometime ago to deliberate on an ambitious project.
“I cannot say much now before the official announcement from the government but all I can say is that we are ready to take part in the building of Zimbabwe and place it where it belongs in the world league of the best,” Mr Rosenthall told RosGwen Online.
The Rosenthall Group Llc is an international engineering development company based in the USA with offices in South Korea, Dubai, China and Africa.
The entity has vast experience in city development and according to additional information which describes its interests, the Group is planning to create the Bullion Bank of Africa (BBA) in 16 African Countries.
It would be interesting to see if the city will be a fulfilled project or another mere dream by the Zimbabwe government just like the Mt Hampden capital city project that has continued to stagnant.
