The Zimbabwe National High School moot court team made history this week after being crowned world champions at the international moot court competitions in Romania.
The team, funded by CBZ among other sponsors, beat 15 other countries to land the coveted post.
In the final they squared off with Netherlands whom they defeated to be crowned European Moot Court 2022 champions.
The Zimbabwe National High School Moot team is made up of schools such as Arundel, Peterhouse, Dominican Convent and Midlands Christian College.
The team posted the news:
“These are the faces of the European Moot Court 2022 champions.
“The first African country to compete and the first to win.
“We are very grateful for the support we have received from everyone.”
The International Moot Court competitions are inter-school competitions organized around the world.
Students act as lawyers, representing different sides of a case based on an issue written by an organization or school as they appear before a mock international tribunal.
