HARARE — Zimbabwe police has released from prison four Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) members arrested Thursday for wearing the yellow regalia.

The four, Emmanuel Zellers Gumbo, Erasmus Nyandoro, Prince Mutebuka and Tatenda Chigwada were held at Harare Central Police since Thursday night.

Zimbabwe police officers reportedly accused the quartet of disorderly conduct for putting on the yellow attire in solidarity with the new people’s movement.

The yellow gear has sent the regime into panic since the launch of CCC party by people’s leader Nelson Chamisa this week.

State apparatus have been used to counter the revolutionary momentum created by CCC front man Chamisa.

One of the arrested youth Emmanuel Zellers Gumbo castigated the President Emmerson Mnangagwa government calling it an “overrated lizard masquerading as a crocodile”.

“There is no struggle without bruises, as we enter the last lap of our struggle we’ll experience many casualties.

“However, it must be clearly understood that the formation of CCC marks the beginning of the end of one overrated lizard masquerading as a crocodile,” said Emmanuel Zellers Gumbo.
