Zimbabwean footballer Kuda Mahachi acquitted

Kudakwashe Mahachi, a footballer from Zimbabwe, has been cleared of the two attempted murder charges against him.

BULAWAYO – Kudakwashe Mahachi, a footballer from Zimbabwe, has been cleared of the two attempted murder charges against him.

Bulawayo regional magistrate Mark Dzira on Friday exonerated Mahachi, who had been charged with attempting to kill his kid.

The decision was issued by Magistrate Dzira, who said that the testimony of the witnesses was inconsistent and contradictory and that the state had failed to prove key components of the case.

The former Chicken Inn, Bantu Rovers and Highlanders winger was accused of hitting his son Diego in the mouth and head with an iron stick.

Additionally, the footballer was charged with hitting his son with a cable and pouring hot water on him.

Mahachi should be extremely relieved by the news after his contract with the South African DStv Premier League team Supersport United was cancelled.
