Botswana musician Zolasko, who rocked the airwaves with his joint performance with Mambo Dhuterere, is in Zimbabwe to embark on new collaborations with local artists.

The kwaito-kwasa musician is in Zimbabwe for another collaboration titled “Rithumenzi” with young gospel musician Mai Zee.

The talented Motswana musician, who worked with Mambo Dhuterere on the 2021 hit “Hameni Hlebana”, was mesmerized by Zimbabwe’s musical talent.

Zolasko, real name, James Mojuru believes working with Mambo Dhuterere is one of the best moves he has done, having been propelled to stardom beyond his country’s borders.

“I ventured into music in the early 2000s and worked with several artists from my country including Vee Mampeezy, Slizer, Franco and Makesho.

“However, my collaboration with Mambo Dhuterere was on another level as it made me a household name beyond Botswana.

“The song Hameni Hlebana opened many doors for me and even got me an award in Botswana,” Zolasko said.

Hameni Hlebana, which was released late last year, has over 3 million views on YouTube and the video was number 3 in ZBC TV’s countdown top 50 at the end of the year.

The song was also top 5 on the Overview Radio playlist in Botswana.

Zolasko is also thrilled to collaborate with Jah Prayzah, Winky Dee and Killer T. He has also collaborated with Baba Harare and Seh Calaz as his love for Zimbabwe continues to grow with each day.
