Zvirekwi scores first goal in Simba Bhora colours

Hardlife Zvirekwi scored his first goal for Simba Bhora in their 2-1 win over PAM FC in a championship Northern Region league match at Muriel Stadium in Mutorashanga on Saturday afternoon.

MUTORASHANGA – Former Football Star of the Year, Hardlife Zvirekwi scored his first goal for Simba Bhora in their 2-1 win over PAM FC in a championship Northern Region league match at Muriel Stadium in Mutorashanga on Saturday afternoon.

Zvirekwi, who joined Simba Bhora earlier in the season, opened the scoring for third-placed Simba Bhora before Honey Chimutimunzeve sealed the victory.

Tinotenda Munengani withdrew one for PAM FC.

The former CAPS United and Warriors right-back, who wrote an inspiring piece of history as he recovered from an accidental amputation to continue playing football, was delighted with his first goal for Simba Bhora and hopeful a better fate for him at the Shamva team.

“It’s special because it’s my first goal at Simba Bhora. It’s something that motivates me and motivates me to score as a defender,” Zvirekwi said.

“Thank you to my teammates who helped score my first goal. I hope this is the start of better days for me in the Northern Region Soccer League and also for my and the team’s quest to the title of champion to be won.”
