PRETORIA – DStv Premiership club AmaZulu FC have reportedly sealed the signing of Orlando Pirates striker Gabadinho Mhango.
Malawi international Mhango endured a difficult 2021/22 campaign after falling out of favor with the Buccaneers over several reported disciplinary issues.
The painful phase for Mhango which saw him being sidelined by Orlando Pirates co-coach Mandla Ncikazi is set to come to an end soon with Usuthu reportedly close.
Kaizer Chiefs will be hoping for a last minute gatecrash to secure the services of Mhango, a prolific goal poacher on any day.
According to a source familiar with the deal, Pirates and Usuthu have finalized all transfer details which will see Mhango wear the green AmaZulu next season.
AmaZulu are also set to sign Zimbabwean striker Ishmael Wadi from GladAfrica Championship club JDR Stars to bolster his attacking department ahead of next season.
