Bill Antonio finally leaves for Belgium trials

Dynamos striker Bill Antonio left the country on Tuesday to embark on a six week trial at Belgian First Division side KV Mechelen.

Dynamos striker Bill Antonio is on a six week trial at Belgian First Division side KV Mechelen.

Antonio left the country on Tuesday.

He was scheduled to have gone to Belgium in March but the trial stint was postponed due to some technical logistical problems.

KV Mechelen which is based in the Antwerp province plays in the Belgian First Division A.

De Kakkers as they are affectionately nicknamed have won four Belgian championships and twice the Belgian Cup, as well as the 1987–88 European Cup Winners’ Cup and the 1988 European Super Cup.

KVM collected most of their honours in the 1940s and in the 1980s
