CAPS United held again in Chibuku Super Cup

CAPS United have only themselves to blame after wasting a glut of chances that fell their way in the goalless draw against ZPC Kariba.

HARARE – CAPS United have only themselves to blame after wasting a glut of chances that fell their way in the goalless draw against ZPC Kariba.

A wasted chance by Tinashe Bhalakazi in the first half and two others by Ishmael Wadi and Ian Nyoni in the second were enough to ruin the day for Makepekepe.

They remain in second place with seven points but they really needed the win to keep pace with log leaders Dynamos who are now on eleven points after their victory against Harare City on Saturday.

ZPC Kariba wasted a chance of their own through Moses Dhemera whose slow reaction in the danger zone on the hour mark meant Kauya Katuruturu had to be content with a point gain.

Chibuku Super Cup group one is still up for grabs with the likes of Yadah Stars, Harare City and Herentals looking to make things right as games enter the second round phase.

Results:

Dynamos 1-0 Harare City

Yadah Stars 2-0 Herentals

CAPS United 0-0 ZPC Kariba
