MANCHESTER – Erik ten Hag believes Manchester United have learned from their dismal start to the season after Bruno Fernandes secured a hard-fought victory against Southampton on Saturday.
Ten Hag’s side anchored the standings in the Premier League after losing their first two games.
But United bounced back from that rocky start to claim back-to-back league victories for the first time since February.
Fernandes scored in the 55th minute when he volleyed in a Diogo Dalot cross from inside the box.
“I think the players learned a lot from Brentford. We were more compact on the long balls. Of course we were very happy about that,” Ten Hag said.
