Warriors forward Khama Billiat is now the leading Zimbabwean goal scorer in the South African Premier League with 92 goals.
Billiat who equalled Wilfred Mugeyi’s record of 91 goals in August with a goal against Baroka managed to set his own record of 92 goals getting on to the score sheet in Kaizer Chiefs’ 4-0 win over Chippa United on Saturday.
Billiat who has two years on his contract at Chiefs has a chance to catch up with the all time leading scorer in South Africa former Bafana Bafana striker Siyabonga Nomvethe with 123 goals.
Mozambican Manuel ‘Tico Tico’ Bucuane holds the record by a foreigner in the South African league with 104 goals while Zambian Collins Mbesuma is on 103 goals.
