Lloyd Mutasa leads Green Fuel to PSL promotion

Chisumbanje based Green Fuel were on Saturday promoted to the Premier Soccer League (PSL) after winning the Eastern Region Soccer League championship title beating Surrey 5-0 at the Green Fuel Sports Arena.

CHIPINGE – Chisumbanje based Green Fuel were on Saturday promoted to the Premier Soccer League after winning the Eastern Region Soccer League championship title beating Surrey 5-0 at the Green Fuel Sports Arena.

Green Fuel who are coached by former Dynamos coach Lloyd Mutasa managed to win the Eastern Region Soccer League title with four games to spare as they have an unassailable 12 point lead ahead of second placed Mutare City Rovers.

This is the third Eastern Region Soccer League title for Mutasa after having previously won the title with Eastern Lions and Kiglon.

Green Fuel becomes the second team after Gweru based Sheasham from the Central Region Soccer League to gain promotion into the the PSL.

Simba Bhora from Shamva are set to win the Northern Region Soccer League title while Hwange are primed to win the Southern Region Soccer League title.
