HARARE – Hebert Maruwa has been named the new head coach of Dynamos, succeeding Tonderai Ndiraya, whose contract expires on December 31, 2022.
The fading Harare giants announced Tuesday the anticipated appointment of the former Black Rhinos gaffer.
“Dynamos Football Club is pleased to announce the appointment of a new technical team for the 2023 season. The club has, with immediate effect, appointed Hebert Maruwa as Head Coach of the senior team,” read the statement.
Maruwa was let go as the head coach of the Black Rhinos in July of this year following a string of poor performances and accusations of black arts.
He will be expected to turnaround the fortunes of DeMbare and mount a serious title challenge after the bow out of the Castle Lager Premier League race in the penultimate stage of the just ended season.
Chazunguza, as the blue army is often called by its mythical seven million supporters, eventually finished third behind champions FC Platinum and Bulawayo side Chicken Inn.
