President Mnangagwa commends Zanu PF members for a successful year

Zanu PF president, Emmerson Mnangagwa, expressed gratitude for the dedication and hard work of Zanu PF members, acknowledging their efforts in ensuring a successful year for the ruling party.

HARARE – Zimbabwe’s President and Zanu PF First Secretary, Emmerson Mnangagwa, expressed gratitude and commendation for the dedication and hard work of Zanu PF members, acknowledging their efforts in ensuring a successful year for the ruling party.

The president’s remarks came during Zanu PF’s 121st ordinary session of the Central Committee held at the party headquarters in Harare on Thursday 21st December 2023.

Addressing the gathering, President Mnangagwa attributed the year’s success to the unwavering support and unity demonstrated by Zanu PF members.

He took a moment to individually and collectively thank his lieutenants for their commitment to the party’s objectives.

“As the curtain comes down on the year, we have every reason to celebrate. I thank you individually and collectively. Together we have piloted the Party throughout the year,” President Mnangagwa stated.

“We kept the party solid and united. This demonstrates the quality of leadership which must be the legacy to be left behind as an endearing character of our colossal, mass revolutionary party.”

The president emphasized the importance of unity within the party and recognized the collective effort in steering Zanu PF toward its goals.

He urged party members to preserve this spirit of unity and continue working diligently for the benefit of the nation.

During the session, President Mnangagwa led the Central Committee in a moment of reverence, honoring and paying respects to comrades, heroes, and heroines who have passed away since the last session held in October.

The president acknowledged their contributions and sacrifices in the service of the party and the country.

The ordinary session of the Central Committee provided a platform for reflection on the accomplishments and challenges faced by Zanu PF over the past year, setting the tone for future endeavors and party initiatives.
