Mpofu wins 2023 Athlete of the Year award after year of victory

Long distance runner Isaac Mpofu was named the 2023 Athlete of the Year at an awards ceremony hosted by the National Athletics Association of Zimbabwe in Harare on Friday.

HARARE – Long distance runner Isaac Mpofu was named the 2023 Athlete of the Year at an awards ceremony hosted by the National Athletics Association of Zimbabwe (NAAZ) in Harare on Friday.

Mpofu who is the only Zimbabwean athlete to have so far qualified for the Paris 2024 Olympics, also won the Senior Men Athlete of the Year award.

Vimbai Maisvoreva won the Senior Women’s Athlete of the Year with Kimberley Kachambwa winning Junior Women’s category.
