HARARE – Netsai Marova, Deputy National Organizing Secretary of the MDC Alliance Youth League, who lost her father over the weekend, has been arrested by the state for unknown reasons.
Marova was arrested around 10 p.m. on Sunday evening on her way to Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport to pick up her brother.
She was tried on Monday and the state said she tried to flee the country.
The presiding judge at the Harare Magistrate’s Court granted the young MDC Alliance leader a Z$4,000 bond and she is expected to return home to continue mourning her future father with the rest of the family.
It is common knowledge that her father passed away over the weekend and her family is mourning his loss.
The MDC Alliance has since castigated the state for its inhumane acts, saying, “The persecution must stop!
