BINDURA – Ralph Kawondera says he not motivated by revenge when he returns to Wadzanai stadium against Simba Bhora on Saturday but is on a mission to give glory to Trojan Stars and the Bindura community.

Kawondera won promotion into the Northern Region Soccer League with Simba Bhora having been at the club from 2019 before leaving in 2021 following the coming in of Arthur ‘Tuts’ Tutani.

“Simba Bhora is my second home after Chitungwiza, I’ve no hard feelings over the manner I left Simba Bhora. It’s nature of the job. You get to move at some point,” Kawondera said.

“Now I’m at Trojan Stars and my mission is to convince them that I’m capable of taking Trojan Stars to another level. I go into this match wanting to get a positive result. It’s every coach’s wish to beat a big club like Simba Bhora.

“We are going into the match without any pressure and we promise to give fans value for their money by playing entertaining passing football.”

Trojan Stars have stars who are familiar with the Wadzanai stadium dressing room with versatile midfielder Stephen Matsangaise quickly establishing himself as the heartbeat of the club just months after being released by Simba Bhora early this year.

Other four players Masheti Jakarasi, Brian Kativu, Malvin Nyauyanga and Kudakwashe Brown are not eligible to play in this match as they are on loan to Trojan Stars from Simba Bhora.

Log leaders Herentals U20 are back in action with a trip to Kadoma for a date against CUMA Academy at Rimuka stadium after missing out last week due to a bye.

Third placed Golden Eagles are at home against Come Again at Ellis Robbins while Harare City Cubs have shifted base to Rufaro stadium hoping for a change of fortunes against equally struggling log anchors Cam & Motor.

Chegutu Pirates who are enjoying a purple patch face looking at closing in on third position, face a tricky assignment against sixth placed Black Mambas at Chakari stadium.

Commando Bullets will be hoping to exercise bad luck which saw them fail to win in the past four matches, drawing in matches that they had control over when they host Chinhoyi Stars at Commando Barracks.

Karoi United and Golden Valley clash at Chikangwe stadium with Banket United seeking a second win under Stewart Murisa when they take on PAM FC at Chinhoyi stadium in the only match on Sunday.
