BLANTYRE – President Lazarus Chakwera has broken silence on the recently unearthed corruption scandal involving British businessman Zuneth Sattar, Malawi Vice President Saulos Chilima and several senior officials.
Chakwera made comments on the issue on Tuesday during a state of the nation (SONA) address on economic crisis grappling Malawi and the Sattar corruption story.
He was attending the World Economic Forum in Davos and African Union summit last week when Malawi devalued its Kwacha currency following a crisis that has led to foreign currency shortages.
