Professor Clive Chirwa from Zambia has been proposed and accepted for a visiting professor position at Xiamen University of Technology in Xiamen, Fujian Province, China.
Professor Chirwa, a former chief executive of the Zambian Railways, was not well received by the Patriotic Front with his underground metro project.
He was subsequently ousted from the railway company in unclear circumstances as authorities confiscated his passport so he could not leave Zambia.
Professor Chirwa was somewhat blamed by his enemies for leading a lavish life during his time at the Zambia Railways Company.

Those who thought it was an expensive life forgot that the professor was from Europe and he saw nothing wrong with that since it was a question of maintaining the standard.
Congratulations, Professor Chirwa, keep raising the Zambian flag higher.
