HARARE – Silent Killer, the rising star in the Zimdancehall music scene, has faced revelations about his rampant drug abuse from his former manager, Elder Shambare.
The manager recently stepped down from his role, citing the extreme challenges posed by Silent Killer‘s drug addiction.
In an interview with H-Metro, Elder Shambare shed light on the difficulties he encountered while working with the artist.
“The issue isn’t at all about the contract ending, but I have failed to put up with his behaviour, lack of seriousness about business issues, and his life and drug abuse at the expense of building his career,” expressed Shambare.
Concerned about the potential impact on Silent Killer’s career, Shambare chose to address the issue delicately, stating, “I am afraid that if I tell you the real issues, it will further affect his career as fans and promoters will know the real Silent Killer. So, I just decided to put it lightly so that I don’t cause despondency in various quarters.”

Silent Killer, real name, Jimmy Mudereri had experienced a successful year, gaining popularity and performing at various venues.
Social media platforms, including X (formerly Twitter), saw users praising him by posting his lyrics and creating clips from his humorous songs.
The Locker Mastreets hitmaker even ventured overseas, performing in the United Kingdom and South Africa.
Despite the artist’s achievements, Elder Shambare’s revelation about the struggles with drug abuse casts a shadow over Silent Kiler’s promising career.
The departure of his manager leaves uncertainty about who will take charge of managing Silent Killer’s career, and Shambare predicts that the new manager will face significant challenges.
