Vimbai Zimuto says its Zim’s culture to be naked…..Politicians ask for her nudes
HARARE – Controversial socialite and overseas based musician Vimbai Zimuto on Thursday took time to speak on her naked habits which has often sparked criticism and mixed reviews from society.
Vimbai is well known for her obsession with posting nude pictures on her social media platforms a thing which she defended saying it’s part of the Zimbabwean original culture.
“We make certain things look like they are not Zimbabwean. Culturally as Zimbabweans, we have a culture were we are not afraid of our own skin. I don’t know where it started from that we became unsure of who we are, it’s really terrible.
“Taimbopfeka nhembe (we used to wear animal skin clothes) actually I used to have pictures of my grandmother in the 1960s she had a big Afro hair and a small miniskirt,” she said.
The talented artist who said she is hundred percent catholic said at Roman Catholic church people follow her and also respect her for being who she is and sometimes she even plays mbira during some services.
“I get a lot of requests (men wanting nude pictures) and you know those people saying chitonditumirai rangu personally. Ndikutoda chikeke. If you see my inbox you will be shocked that Zimbabweans ask for such things.
“Sometimes I get messages from very popular people (politicians and businessmen) asking for my nude pictures and sometimes I don’t know how to respond,” she summed up.
