HARARE – Ximex Mall dealer Tafadzwa Murengwa popularly known as Boss Pangolin who shot his girlfriend Samantha Dzapata to death on Friday morning has committed suicide by consuming poison in Harare.
Police is said to have tracked Murengwa down and found him locked in his vehicle motionless.
Boss Pangolin, an abandoned lover gunned down his girlfriend on Friday, a day after he threw thousands of dollars through the window of a busy Ximex Mall shopping in Harare.
A voice memo emerged late Friday in which Murengwa allegedly confessed to a relative that he killed Dzapata because she left him for another man.
The young dealer said in the 14-minute voice memo that he was stressed but “felt better” after his money stunt and saw other traders in the mall cheering him on.
However, his mood darkened on Friday when a violent confrontation with Dzapata ended in her death.
Boss Pangolin said he struggled to cope with rejection from Samantha, whom he showered with expensive gifts while spoiling a married man in Beitbridge.
