LUSAKA – The game is definitely over for incumbent Edgar Chagwa Lungu at least according to the latest consolidated Zambia National Presidential Results data from 155 out of 156 constituencies.
The data send to RosGwen24 by a team of elections experts at the UPND party shows the leader of UPND Alliance party, Hakainde Hichilema having amassed a total of 2,791,409 votes ahead of Edgar Chagwa Lungu (Patriotic Front) who has 1,787,629 votes.
The figure gives the two rivals a difference of 1,003,780 votes between them which technically means Hakainde Hichilema is the winner and the President-elect of the Republic of Zambia.
The outgoing leader, Edgar Chagwa Lungu has declared the elections a nullity and refused to concede defeat so far but pressure from different directions on him means its a matter of time before he wave adios.
