Zelensky says Russia is making the world suffer

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky says the world is suffering due to the Russian invasion as all branches of Ukrainian industry suffered losses.

KYIV – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky says the world is suffering due to the Russian invasion as all branches of Ukrainian industry suffered losses.

“The shortage of neon for manufacturing microchips, the lack of Ukrainian parts for producing cars, the shortage of Azovstal products are only the beginning of a number of problems for the global industry,” Zelensky said.

He has then urged all Ukrainians to stay together and help each other to restore the destroyed and fight for their people.

“We always say honestly, for the sake of Ukraine’s victory, we still need to fight, we still need to do a lot, we still need to persevere and endure, unfortunately, a lot of pain, but Ukrainians can rightfully feel proud of themselves, their country and their heroes,” he added.

Zelensky has become a regular media ‘attention seeker’ since the Ukraine-Russia war broke out early this year and has gone on to address a number of high profile conferences global seeking sympathy.

Meanwhile, UN chief Antonio Guterres was due at the main southern Ukrainian port of Odessa on Friday, a day after he said Turkey and Ukraine hoped to extend their historic grain export deal with Russia.

The visit came as Russian forces continued a relentless bombing campaign in the Donbass region of eastern Ukraine, with Kyiv reporting that five people have been killed in the industrial province of Donetsk in the past 24 hours.

As part of the UN chief’s visit to Ukraine, he met with Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who helped broker the grain deal signed in Istanbul, and Ukrainian leader Zelensky.

Speaking at a joint press conference with the three leaders, Guterres said the United Nations wanted to “expand” operations under the deal before winter.
