Zimbabwean junior golfer Michael Wallace will rub shoulders with some of the world’s most prolific golfers following his invitation to the prestigious Presidents Cup which tees off in the United States on September 19 running to the 25th.
The Presidents Cup is an international PGA TOUR event comprising matches between the United States and an International Team of players from the rest of the world excluding Europe.
Zimbabwe Golf Association (ZGA) has welcomed the invitation which it believes will go a long way in marketing the local game on the global scene.
“This is a milestone in the history of Golf in Zimbabwe as it is the first time this has happened.
“Our hope is that this will give him the necessary exposure to help him improve his game and, in the overall, it means Zimbabwe has a bright future with respect to Golf,” ZGA administrator Tirivashe Nheweyembwa said.
