HARARE – Axed Zimbabwe coach Zdravko Logarušić will receive US$90,000 as part of a severance package including a piece of the African Cup of Nations’ cake, Kukurigo Sport revealed.
The Croat was fired Sunday after managing one win in 14 matches. Under the agreement seen by our correspondent, Logarušić will receive $35,000 being money from sign-on fees, outstanding bonuses and liquidated damages.
He will receive US$55,000 – 10 percent of the US$550,000 that Zimbabwe is given for qualifying for a third successive Africa Cup of Nations finals appearance.
“Logarusic is still in Zimbabwe and will only leave once the US$35,000 which has already been released by ZIFA, hits his bank account,” said a ZIFA official who declined to be named as they are not authorised to discuss contractual issues with the Press.
