FAIRBRIDGE – Bulawayo Chiefs ladies team Amakhosikazi continued their fine form in the Southern Region Division One women football league defeating Blackboots by 4 goals to nil.

Amakhosikazi began the match on the front foot with the impressive Patience Ndlovu making an early statement in the 5th minute but her effort was parried away.

The breakthrough finally arrived ten minutes later through Leona Arimoni to give the visitors a deserved lead.

Blackboots tried to get back into the game but found goalkeeper Noxolo Kona up for the challenge with an acrobatic save.

Ndlovu almost gave Amakhosikazi the second goal in the 26th minute but Blackboots goalkeeper collected the shot to keep the score one-nil.

The visitors finally doubled the lead courtesy of a Lauryn Mupasi rebound after Nomqhele Donga’s shot was saved.

Amakhosikazi returned from the breather with more energy as they launched some raids into the law enforcers’ half.

After an impressive day, Patience Ndlovu finally found the back of the net in the 66th minute to make it 0-3.

Ndlovu made sure the game was out of sight for Blackboots with another goal seven minutes later to complete her brace.

Amakhosikazi coach Evans Netha was a delighted man as he acknowledged how crucial the first three games have been for the team.
