HARARE – The Zimbabwe Premier Soccer League has been getting more and more exciting with each passing week and Saturday afternoon encounter was no different.
Reigning champions and Cup Kings, CAPS United were in high gear as they played party spoilers by denying title contenders FC Platinum an outright win through a last-minute equalizer from defender Godwin Goriyati.
The platinum miners had taken the lead in the 57th minute courtesy of a well taken shot from gritty defender Kevin Moyo.
The miners playing at home had a jungle share of possession in the first half until United regrouped after the interval as they piled pressure on their opponents in search of an equalizer.
The goal eventually came in the 89th minute as Goriyati rose higher inside Pure Platinum‘s defence to score the much need goal to spoil another moment for the league’s contenders.
The ambitious Zvishavane based side are coming from another dull draw against stubborn Miracle Boys (Yadah Stars).
