HARARE – Contemporary reggae musician Andy Muridzo, real name Kudzai Andrew Ngwenya has opened up o his nasty fallout with mentor Jah Prayzah whom he said ignored him at Oliver Mtukudzi funeral in 2019 and no longer answers his calls.
Andy Muridzo said this during an interview on Star FM with DJ Ollah 7 which has since gone viral due to the controversy it carries through the answers by the talented artist.
“I call and text him but he never answers nor responds. I met him at Oliver Mtukudzi’s funeral, I tried to talk to him but he ignored me. So I gave up on him,” he said.
He said efforts to reach out to Jah Prayzah have always been there but it seems he has shut him out for deciding to leave the Military Touch Movement (MTM) stable.
“We are currently not in talking terms, I want to and I have tried to talk to him but he doesn’t want to. I last spoke to Jah Prayzah in 2017, I love that guy (Jah Prayzah), but he is a difficult person.
Andy Muridzo said he does not hold any grudges with Jah Prayzah but is only challenging the brand which is being misrepresented by some of his lieutenants.
According to the Dherira hit-maker, Jah Prayzah was forced to change his mind on the collaboration between Andy Muridzo and Tanzanian musician Harmonize, taking it for himself because of people close to him.
