HARARE – Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) incarcerated MPs Job Sikhala, Godfrey Sithole and other Nyatsime 15 were denied bail on Wednesday by Harare Magistrate Taurai Manuwere for the fifth consecutive attempt.
Sikhala, Sithole and other members of Nyatsime represented by lawyers Jeremiah Bhamu and Beatrice Mtetwa had applied for bail due to changed circumstances.
When he denied them bail, Magistrate Manuwere said there was no change in the circumstances warranting the duo’s bail.
They are accused of inciting party supporters to riot following the brutal murder of party activist Moreblessing Ali in the Nyatsime area of Chitungwiza by suspected Zanu PF members.
The crew who have been arrested since July are Job Sikhala, Godfrey Sithole, Precious Jeche, Audious Makoma, Misheck Guzha, Shepherd Bulakazi, Tatenda Pindahama, Enock Tsoka, Emmanuel Muradzikwa, Chauya Shopa, Roan Tsoka, Zephania Chinembiri, Zecks Makoni, Robert Madzokera, Clever Sibanda, Ephrage Gwavava and Felix Biri.
