Zimbabwe’s top broadcaster and music producer, Dr Clarence, real name Clarence Kudzai Patsika has fallen on hard times and is living a terrible life in Harare.
In his heydays, Dr. Clarence recorded hits for a range of urban groove musicians including Stunner’s hit songs Team Hombe and Godo ft BaShupi.
The producer has been posting skits and breaking news on his YouTube channel, which has around 104,000 subscribers and over 25 million views.
Doctor Clarence has stated that his current situation is the result of his enemies.
“It’s not a difficult situation for me, but it’s a trickster situation. It’s good or bad that I’m not blind.
“At the same time, I am isolated. So I learned lessons, one lesson is to trust myself and trust no one. I got enlightenment through the stages of life.”
Dr Clarence separated with his wife since 2013 and refused to apportion loneliness or drug abuse for the current situation.

When asked if he was going to make a comeback or quit his YouTube and music career, he replied: “I’m not giving up, right now I’m having an identity crisis. I don’t know my way.”

He was once arrested in July 2018 for creating a manipulated pornographic image of his ex-girlfriend and posting it on social media platform WhatsApp. He was charged under the Censorship and Entertainment Control Act 1967.
